SUBSTRACTION WALL OF THE CISTERN

Northwest wall with pink limestone ashlars and arches, 12 metres tall. It is part of the central terrace area pertinent to the forum-sanctuary. A big arch is visible, set into a house on the same street. This house is built on a cistern measuring 5 x 4 m and 12 m from the base, below street level, with a vault of medium size limestone ashlars. Towards the temple, inside the actual convent TOR (Third Regular Franciscan Order), there are walls, a floor and remains of a niche, a stoĆ  used as a schola or an altar for offerings and sacrifices.
